About the game
The third entry in Nintendo's ink shooter series Splatoon, released on Nintendo Switch in September 2022. The core mode is Turf War, where two teams of four shoot ink to cover the ground, and you can transform into a squid to swim through ink. It also includes a solo story mode and the co-op mode Salmon Run.
Why we recommend it
Covering more ground in your team's ink matters more than taking down opponents, making it a unique shooter where you can help your team even if you're not great at shooting games.
Good for — Great for: anyone who wants to try low-pressure online team battles for the first time
