About the game
An action RPG developed by FromSoftware, released in March 2015 exclusively for PS4. In Yharnam, a gothic city plagued by a strange endemic illness, you become a 'Hunter' and fight beings that have turned into beasts. The Regain system, which lets you recover health by counterattacking right after taking damage, encourages aggressive play, and there's an expansion, The Old Hunters.
Why we recommend it
With fast, aggressive combat that has you fight back with attacks instead of a shield and a gothic horror atmosphere, it ranks among FromSoftware's finest.
Good for — Great for: anyone who loves the sense of achievement from conquering tough challenges one by one
