About the game

A team-based first-person shooter developed by Valve, released in October 2007. You pick one of nine classes, such as Scout, Soldier, Heavy and Medic, and split into two teams to compete over objectives like capturing points or escorting a payload. It was originally paid but became free to play in 2011.

Why we recommend it

With nine distinct classes and a cartoonish art style full of humor, this classic is still loved long after its release.
